NURS 845 - Advanced Pathophysiology for Primary Care Advanced study for Family Nurse Practitioner students of the relationship between normal physiology and the pathophysiologic changes that occur as a result of disease, as well as the body’s ability to compensate for these changes. Emphasis is on the student nurse practitioner’s need to understand the mechanism(s) underlying disease and its clinical manifestations so that rational therapies can be devised. Includes analysis of the mechanism(s) of production of the symptoms and signs of different disease syndromes.
Prerequisite: NURS 766 , NURS 772 and admission to program.
