HIST 110 - Problems in Modern History [CI] A communication-intensive examination of the impact of social, political economic and cultural forces on significant problems in modern history. Using a range of written and oral activities, students will: critically analyze historical issues; evaluate the assumptions of the historians’ writing on the topic; engage in activities that will provide practice in interpreting and evaluating primary and secondary sources of evidence; and consider methods and develop strategies for treating conflicting arguments on the problem.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: ENGL 111.
