Post-Graduate Dual Certificate in Nursing Education/Administration

The Post-Graduate Dual Certificate in Nursing Education/Nursing Administration is provided primarily with hybrid courses designed for nurses who already have a graduate degree in nursing in another concentration, such as nurse practitioner or Clinical Nurse Leader. This certificate consists of 33 credits taken over about two years. Depending on previous nursing graduate education some of the required courses may be waived, however, a minimum of 15 credits must be taken at SVSU to be awarded the Post-Graduate Dual Certificate in Nursing Education/Nursing Administration.

Current Michigan RN License

NURS 760 - Nursing Informatics & Quality Improvement 3 cr
NURS 766 - Health Assessment & Genetics for ANP 3 cr
NURS 654 - Assessment, Technology, & Nurse Educator 3 cr
NURS 662 - Pathophysiology & Pharmacology for ANP 3 cr
NURS 772 - Epidemiology & Population Hlth in ANP 3 cr
NURS 668 - Advanced Clinical Practice 3 cr
NURS 652 - Teaching & Learning in Nursing Education 3 cr
NURS 656 - Nursing Curriculum Design & Evaluation 3 cr
NURS 658 - Foundations of Nursing Administration 3 cr
Additional 6 credits of electives approved by the Department of Nursing are required.
