NURS 733 - Psychiatric Mental Health Care of Children Integrates assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with behavioral, developmental, and mental health disorders or at risk for mental illness within the context of their families and communities. Differential diagnoses and treatment plans include the influence of genetic, age, gender, and cultural variables, developmental stage, laboratory findings and diagnostic studies. Strategies and interventions in education, family support, and facilitated family and group communication specific to mental health are emphasized.
Requisites: Prerequisite: NURS-710, NURS-712, and NURS-716
