NURS 616 - Genomics Competencies for ANP Provides a scientific foundation of genetics and genomics from a health care perspective. Focuses on the role of genetics/genomics in improving our ability to predict disease susceptibility, provide individualized preventive screening and risk reduction interventions, and target disease treatment. Prepares graduate nursing students to assume clinical and leadership roles in translating these genetic/genomic advances into effective health care within an interprofessional context.
Requisites: Admission to a graduate nursing program with FNP concentration.
