Explores the role evolution from an historical and legislative perspective. Professional practice issues including the evolving scope of practice, key role competencies, reimbursement, and inter-professional collaboration are examined. Includes critical analysis of clinical strategies and interventions in health promotion and protection based on the evidence and relevant theoretical frameworks.
