HIST 382 - History of the African Diaspora This course is a thematic examination of the experience of people of African descent throughout the world and the quest for unity and self-determination. Beginning with pre-colonial Africa and extending to the present-day, this course will examine such topics as the construction of the African Diaspora, enslavement, colonialism, political economy, Pan-Africanism, anti-colonialism, liberation, and independence.
