TE 311 - Developmental Reading K-8 This course is designed to facilitate the teacher candidate’s ability to demonstrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to help all K-8 students learn to read. The focus is on the teaching of developmental reading. During this course, teacher candidates are introduced to informal assessment techniques, and a variety of strategies for meeting the needs of diverse learners. There is both a theoretical and practical application to this class.
NOTE: This course is for special education candidates only.
Note: Fieldwork required.
Requisites: Admitted to the Teacher Education Program (Required, Previous).
Credits: 4 cr
