PHYS 401 - Theoretical Mechanics II

Continuation of PHYS 301. Topics included are: mechanics of rigid bodies, gravitational fields and potential, moving coordinate systems, generalized coordinate systems, Lagrange’s and Hamilton’s equations, mechanics of continuous media, tensor algebra and the rotation of a rigid body. (0-3)
