HS 430 - Pathophysiology Introduces basic concepts of pathophysiology that produce alterations in normal human physiologic function and the resulting response. The course begins with a general analysis of cell injury, neoplasia, infection processes and the immune system. These concepts are applied in a system-oriented approach to disease processes affecting the hematopoietic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, musculoskeletal, integumentary, and genitourinary systems.
Prerequisite: BIOL 231.
